About

My name is Finnegan Miles-Hussey, I am a Software Engineer living in New Zealand. I am currently employed for an Australian company called Retriever Communications, working with a variety of technologies and tools. Day-to-day work involves building and improving microservices, maintaining and working with monolith servers, as well as maintaining and improving our unique mobile platform along with various other tasks.

I attended the University of Otago as a student between 2014 - 2016, from which I graduated with a Bachelor of Science. During my time at the University I majored in Computer Science and minored in Statistics.

Asides from Software Development and related fields, I have a variety of interests and hobbies. These include:

• The study of Jewish Law, theology and Hebrew language.
• Randomness and uncertainty. I am a huge fan of the writer Nicholas Nassim Taleb.
• Exceedingly amateur saxophone playing.
